New Web Sites

Friday, July 30, 2010

Dear Friends,

I have never been a serious blogger or one to spend a lot of time on line with instant messaging or Facebook. But I am told that I need to learn.

Two years ago a friend gave Nancy Simengdi Pearl Cream, which she purchased when on a trade mission to China. The friend mentioned to the Chinese guide that her skin was dry and rough because of the long plane flight and because of the high altitude they were visiting. The guide immediately took our friend to an up-scale store to buy some Simengdi Pearl Cream. The friend was so pleased with the cream that she bought several bottles as a gift for friends.

When Nancy’s supply ran low, she challenged me to find a supply, which I did (the Chinese manufacturer). Because I had to buy in bulk, I decided to open a website. For eighteen months I did little advertising. Sales grew slowly and business is steady. My most distant regular customer lives in Australia. So recently I decided to get serious about e-commerce and enrolled in a class to improve my skills.

I now treat the e-business as my regular job. It is amazing the skills I have learned over the past three months.

By the way, pearl cream is extremely popular in the southwestern Asian and Pacific-rim countries. It is made from the enzymes of fresh water pearls. The enzymes have a protective, healing and rejuvenating effect on the skin. You can learn more about Simengdi Pearl Cream at: http://www.beautycreamsandlotions.com

About the same time St. Paul’s Episcopal Church asked me to become webmaster for their new site. You can view it at: http://www.stpaulsevv.org Some parts still need information from responsible church members. The site went “live” on July 26th.

Since I am feeling more confident as I go, I have two additional e-commerce sites under development, which will be launched in the fall. Who thought that one could learn a whole new set of skills as complex as website building at 70. I am very proud of my work. I hope you will honor my work and browse both sites.
