Wonderful Day at the Lake

On Tuesday we closed the boat for the season.  That sounds as if it could be a so-so day, but it turned out to be totally different.  We had a very pleasant drive to the lake.  Once there, we discovered that the entrance to our pier was blocked because they were making a new sidewalk and ramp.  One of the men ferried us to our boat.  It was like being in Venice.   Once on board Nancy did her thing and I did mine.  We paused for a very nice lunch and then resumed what needed to be done.  When finished, we radioed for our ferry, which returned us to shore.  After changing, we finished the day by strolling around Patti's and enjoying smoked pork loin, fried apples and decadent Derby Pie.  After the sun set we had  a very pleasant drive home.  I love the sailboat and look to re-opening her April 1st.
